From the 48', they tried to protect their score. They had several occasions before the goal. After that one, they stopped tried and focus on stopping Robben and Schneider. Same happened to Chile yesterday.

Algeria surprised me positively in this tournament like many other teams.
Matuidi got away with murder in France vs Nigeria with his brutal challenge on the Nigerian players.

Yea both goalies were on fire. Neuer took the ball over 20 times outside the box.

Algeria was indeed good, though germany deserved the win, shots on goal after all were something like 13-3, of course largely thanks to Neuer stopping everything midfield

Well, he had Mustafi and Höwedes in front of him, so there was little else he could have done.
