I don't think Germany should play Klose in the final though. He is clearly way too slow to compete on this level. He got his record-breaking goal, now it's time to rest - and I am saying that with all due respect for him. I have not been following, but what's up with Podolski? Is he injured?
I know this is from a couple of pages back now, but wanted to touch on this because I strongly disagree. Klose has obviously lost some pace in the last decade but his game was never about speed and the things it was about - positioning, awareness, link-up play, and of course finishing from ~12 yards or so - are not attributes he's lost. and early on in the tournament I often felt like Germany were playing balls into good areas but not finding anyone, partly because they lacked a player with the nous in the box to /be/ where he needed to. This is definitely something Klose helps to rectify.
IMO the rest of the team has also looked much better since Klose has been starting in place of Gotze. for example, although Muller /CAN/ and was playing as a false 9 having klose in that position leaves Muller able to play freer and wider, and drift in and out and between the space left by defenders/ between midfield and defence. he did exactly that to Marcelo and David Luiz the other day. As someone who wants Germany to win I would much rather Klose start than Podolski, who for me has always flattered to deceive /especially/ when it comes to out and out goalscoring.
LOL I didn't think about this before, omg that would be amazing
correction. worst case scenario: argentina win the world cup in brazil right on the heels of that humiliating defeat. i just never believed argentina would beat the netherlands!
Iam new to watching football , do the dutch always play so dirty?
The t-shirt pulling , the intentional bend forward and back up into opponent to trip them & all the obvious shoulders to chest/heads ?
I had my money on Netherlands but almost wanted ARG to score after seeing this performance
Argentina got away with a shitload of fouls, not only this match but the entire WC. I don't know whats up with all South-American squads but they know exactly how to trick the referee...
You clearly didn't noticed the arm pulling Argentina pulled off?

There is no doubt that the Dutch played dirty against Spain that game, but overall I don't think they've been particularly mean this World Cup. Unlike, say, Brazilians against Colombia.

Yeah the Dutch were horrible the match against Spain.
To give you an unbiased answer, no they don't play like this all the time but some players have the habit to make these actions when they're nervous and time is ticking.. But guess thats football in the 21th century
