Polar Bear Club - Living Saints

Sounds like a good start for their new album

I'm listening to old Nick Cave, probably to negate the fact that it's too hot to live properly

(I lent my copy of perpetuum mobile to a friend and I hate doing that, it makes me feel queasy)

Don't wanna give away the ghost here, but...

So damn good...I'd say I was digging it more than Cult Ritual, Salvation and Divisions, were that possible.

Still - that Divisions 7" and tape are killing me.

So happy that the *real* underground is thriving...my friends and I had a theory that maybe we were just old and living in New York, that we were out of touch. I argued that no, nothing was going on. I'm glad I was wrong about that.

                Siouxsie & The Banshees... Melt

                you are the melting men
                You are the situation
There is no time to breathe
                And yet one single breath
                Leads to an insatiable desire
                Of suicide...in sex

                So many blazing orchids
                Burning in your throat
                Making you choke
                Making you sigh
                Sigh in tiny deaths

                So Melt!
                My lover, melt!
                She said melt!
                My lover, melt!

                You are the melting men
                And as you melt
                You are beheaded
Handcuffed (in lace and blood and sperm)
                Swimming in poison
                Gasping in the fragrance
                Sweat carves a screenplay
                of discipline...and devotion

                So Melt!
                My lover, melt!
                She said melt!
                My lover, melt!

                Can you see?
See into the back of a long, black car
Pulling away from the funeral of flowers
With my hand between your legs
                Melting... sevrin

I see that and raise a Black Kronstadt.

Currently listening to this. Fenriz's (Darkthrone) "viking metal" project. More stoner than black. Click on pic for a youtube link.

Just now got into Led Zeppelin, after a decade of deeming myself simply not cool enough to listen to them seriously.

Yes! That album is timeless, thanks for reminding me, haven't listened to it for about a year now. In a somewhat similar vein, currently playing:

                          Deaf Center - Pale Ravine
                          The Gentleman Losers - Dustland

Galia, old nick is gold. I always find myself listening to his stuff.
almost ritualistically..same deal goes with Tom Waits. I have a daily fix
