had the same thing. which is very understandable, as their set-up consisted of about 15 boss pedals, mainly used for the vocals.

          To each his own though.
My favorite song for DiJ is definitely tied between Little Black Angel and Fall Apart, I like that aspect - dark apocalyptic romance - the most. So I fully agree in regards to substance. But being the agent provocateur often "All Pigs Must Die" has quite substance and resonance for me. Its provocative in unsubtle way and tries to touch two very slippery surfaces at same time.

          You like Current 93?

This is not the kind of music I usually listen to and it is a few years old, but a friend showed it to me and I think it is pretty cool.

But What Ends is probably the best album but along with Rose Clouds it takes a really particular mood to enjoy it fully.

As far as C93 goes I honestly never went beyond Swastikas for Noddy and Thunder Perfect Mind so I can't say much. Think they kind of slipped off the radar for me and now it's too daunting to get back into them haha.
Heh same for me in regards to C93 - they have creepy noisy sound now, one that I hardly enjoy.

                  Merz:
Never got to see them live..
I'm sure they haven't even done a proper gig ever. probably just a few obscure bars, but none of them close to where i reside.
Remeber reading some big-ass interview with lynch about bluebob and somehow the tidbits of info on effectpedals/soundboxes/whatnot always get stuck in my head.

I didn't even know this album existed until recently, very early works from Philip Glass:

I love it, not as cheezy as the stuff he's been turning out lately but also easier listening than his masterworks.

                      Have a listen:

Ah man, seeing Andi Sex Gang's name on this clip suddenly took me back to the early '90s. Sex Gang Children came thru Portland for 1 night to play a show–and the next thing I know their bass player back then, Dave Roberts, ends up moving in with my roommate/best friend and me–for nearly 2 months..LOL

The two of them clicked instantly when they met after the show–and apparently kept clicking, nonstop–behind the paper-thin walls of her bedroom.. The rest of the band actually left him behind and went on their own sabbatical down to LA.
Holy shit, talk about a trip down goth-rock memory lane.. Thanks, Servo!

It suffices to say she'll be gettin' a little call from me later this afternoon. Couldn't have fallen on a better day!!
