              [garbage snipped]
If you really like pop, you "enjoy" "field recordings" (only wankers would use this as a music "genre") same way blind man enjoys art museum, not that there's anything wrong with that. If you have some dollar bin lo-fi 70's reissue LPs that sound like a goat rode it's ass over or polished mp3s of original discs, does not a collector make. Somewhat similar to buying exclusively from H&M collabs and Uniqlo and saying you're into high fashion.

I feel pretentious replying seriously to your post.

you exude pretentiousness with every word you type.....

....but,I see your point. guess you really do enjoy and appreciate music more than I... after all I'm actually deaf. guess it's time to ditch everything & start from scratch. think I'll start by googling the correct way to listen to Charley Patton; I mean it's all about form, right?

                s i g h

btw: sometimes the blind can see.... just happened to run across this. not particularly relevant but....

PS: I had my own home made lo fi recordings from the '70s.... didn't need to go through any dollar bins... sadly, thru the years, they've been lost. probably a good thing... never learned how to listen to them correctly.

                *edit*

authenticity in the wearing of clothes or authenticity in music appreciation.... and the lamest discussion is.......?

Fair enough. Sorry if I sounded like a dick.

I listen to Kanye and Drake a bit anyway lol.

I don't know a lot about zappa, but it seems pretty unlike him to appear on a show like that.

It's definitely a good album. Vocals in some of the tracks are perhaps a little unnecessary.

Do you listen to much garage?

I'll contribute. One of my favourite albums at the moment:

*edit* don't know how i missed sept's post...its too good to delete so i'll leave it

I'm not catholic but my listening to pop has made this necessary

this latest discussion of authenticity in music appreciation trumps the already beaten to death authenticity in fashion discussion.

Yes, but not that kind of garage.
                              Big fan of future/mnml garage.
