interesting, hilarious and pitch black. I loled at this part:

"Galliano had always been the master of the Marie Antoinette-cum-Scarlett O’Hara-cum-imperial concubine look. But something about the new too-lavish details and hyper-expense suggested to me all the semiotic indicators of megalomaniacal dictator chic: a whorish criminal rococo for those who wanted to flaunt it.

I recognized Dior's new look as emanating from a certain dirty flavor of kleptocracy: I felt it was a look for Russia -- the sexy new Wild Wild East for entrepreneurial land sharks and hookers, made deliberately to "adorn mistresses and new trophy wives in the sartorial equivalent of hula skirts made from 500-euro notes.""

The only two good paragraphs from that article. They're very perceptive though...I too think a few of those turns of phrase are spot-on.

Cintra Wilson leads to learn how to write. Take the final paragraph. What the fuck is she talking about?

      ---

"There are some people who think that Charlie Sheen might have had something to do with the death of porn star Chloe Jones, including his ex-wife, Denise Richards. Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy ... Idi Amin, Stalin, Hitler, John Galliano. No matter how you slice it, we are all watching this genocide on TV, and not stopping it."
And "When the prince has gathered about him
"All the savants and artists, his riches will be fully employed."

      Canto XIII, Ezra Pound

Phantom menace is complete shit and she just stepped in it there. Case in point or in any case: she's excellent in Closer and Black Swan. I would get more satisfaction from setting battle droids on Jar Jar Binks.

She's from Israel, so her being nazi about antisemitic remarks doesn't surprise me that much. It's part of the upbringing.

Excellent actress, evoking such intensity of emotion from the audience Anyway, Padme is mother of Leila, the insufferable rebel princess in Star Wars, so she has to be annoying as well.

In any case, I always prefered the Siths, but what they really need in Star Wars Universe is Red Star. True revolution, not these degenerate nobles.

My instinct is telling me that Galliano just said these things to piss the people he was arguing with off (though I guess there's no way to ever know).
That being said, while he may be allowed to say such a thing, Dior is just as allowed to fire him for saying it. Say what you will about the backlash being bigger than it should be, fact is the backlash is happening and Dior has a reputation and clientele to hold on to. I'm sure they would rather just turned back time and given him a hint not to say he loves Hitler in an argument while a camera is pointed at him, but it doesn't seem like much of an option at this point.

Maybe this will be a opportunity for Elbaz Alber or Haider Ackermann at the House of Dior.

Leila, Leia or Lajka, she's annoying. Just like Galliano. . I would put them both in Sartre's hell, together with C3PO, for eternity. Or be merciful and just release the battledroids, like Jogu.

Let's throw galliano into the sarlacc pit.
