i also read that natalie portmans comments helped instigate the situation . man the only movie i ever saw her in was phantom menace and when i bought the vid game for it i hated her and loved trapping her behind a wall and lettin the battle droids have their way even if it meant havin to restart the whole level

In any case, I always prefered the Siths, but what they really need in Star Wars Universe is Red Star. True revolution, not these degenerate nobles.

My instinct is telling me that Galliano just said these things to piss the people he was arguing with off (though I guess there's no way to ever know).
That being said, while he may be allowed to say such a thing, Dior is just as allowed to fire him for saying it. Say what you will about the backlash being bigger than it should be, fact is the backlash is happening and Dior has a reputation and clientele to hold on to. I'm sure they would rather just turned back time and given him a hint not to say he loves Hitler in an argument while a camera is pointed at him, but it doesn't seem like much of an option at this point.
