Re: Rick Owens
yes I did get the yohji skirt and i love it but i think i am selling it b/c it is too big or doesnt fit me right. i have to pull it down on my hips and then it does this weird bunchy thing, since i have hips, and if i keep it higher on my waist then it swallows me. maybe i am just not sure of how it should fit, but i think it looks strange on me. That said I soooooo love it and i keep trying to make it feel better on. it has pockets and is full and free [64]... ugh. we'll see what happens. i still seem to be loosing weight too so new clothing is hard for me right now.[72]

    boo! [:(]

I have had the same problem with those double waist bands...not because I have hips but because i have a bubble bum. [:$]

My guess is that it's supposed to sit low, but if it's not comfortable for you, than there's no point in keeping it. You should take a pic if you get a chance though...i'm so curious to see it on. [51]

      Re: Wallets?

Funny thing I learned about pigskin from the guy that owns a leather shop here.... pigskin is the cheapest leather available. It costs practically nothing.
As a by-product of the meat industry, you can imagine that pig skin is plentiful (it has its uses, it's thin but still strong, its quite commonly used as a shoe lining), but a leather is only as cheap as its processing. In MA+ wallets, specialised tanning and finishing could quite dramatically change the cost - especially if it is being processed in small batches. Even so, I doubt materials account for much of that RRP ;)
I agree. To a certain extent cow leather follows the same lines.

As for the tanning and batches, that's also true. Of course nowhere close to RRP hahaha

I would love to get my hands on a sample booklet from Guidi. That's gotta be outta this word.

              Re: Wallets?

it's probably more of a futon. In japan you'd sleep on a futon, which you place on the floor/tatami. and no, it's not like american futons.

as for wallets, I regret not buying a margiela one while I was in nyc. the one with the fake bills is dope or just the ones with the elastic that goes around.
Dunno if this deserves a thread or what but, uh, any thoughts on awesome wallets? I lost mine the other day (because I am a total super genius and can't be bothered to keep track of trifling things like credit cards and drivers licenses), and am having trouble finding anything that really grabs me. So what are you chaps rocking?
i've purchased 4 wallets in the past two years and wasn't satisfied until I got my ma+. i got the small one in reversed calf leather. it's incredible and imo worth every penny. it's a combination of function and style that no other wallet can surpass.

AKA is 'bout right. I think the runway pair of the suspender pant were a cupro/bamboo mix while this pollyannas one is cotton, too.

let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.
