My favourite purchases of the 2nd half of 2012:

Ann D boots (I think from FW11)

The colour is a very nice burgundy/purple. The leather is a stronger than the goat nubuck of my triple-buckles, giving them some structure which is nice. I just received these and I really hope I find other things to wear them with. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

Ann D 'Truth' jacket (SS11)

This is one of the most opulent Ann garments i've owned, with a lot of attention to detail throughout. The fabric is cotton but feels really precious. All seams on the back are somewhat ruched.

Burberry Prorsum wool trench (I think from FW07)

I've bought a lot of Burberry the past year, and I've come to the conclusion that Prorsum is one of the higher quality mainstream brands out there, on a constant basis. This coat is made from a dense moss green wool/10% cashmere blend that feels almost like fur in its texture. The finishing is of a very high standard, both on the exterior and the interior.

Burberry Prorsum leather trench (FW09 sample)

Fully lined with thick shearling. The fur seems really high quality and has very nicely defined curls. This feels like armor when worn and weighs more than 6 kg.

Burberry Prorsum silk trench (SS08 sample)

A very slim rendition of the classic trench with leather trims. The fabric is a nice waterproof silk.

Dior Homme cardigan (AW03 'Luster')

Heavy cardigan/jacket made from a substantial merino knit. This is probably the highest quality knit I've ever owned. I can't believe it was designed 10 years ago. The sleeves feature Luster's signature diagonal zips up to the elbow.

M&S leather gloves

I bought these a month ago, and thus ended my search for a very form-fitting pair of leather gloves without any superfluous detailing. The leather is very soft and stretched enough to make movement comfortable while still looking very tight. The quality is decent as well. I am a men's M and bought a women's L. These set me back £15 (which is less than 5% of the price of Ann's design from a couple of seasons ago that looked almost identical).
