DBC, we have completely opposite view on Ann's work. It's kinda fascinating, actually.

I know. The world is a many-shaded place! But I'm still not sure why you don't like that collection. Is it simply the colour palette?

The House of Holland label is printed on American Apparel blanks and cost $90 at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills.
If this is true, that's just wrong. Although it wouldn't be the first time that's happened... Shit at 90$ you could buy AA t's at RETAIL and still do pretty well.
Not only is it printed on AA, but they still have the AA tags on it with the House of Holland tag stitched over it. I say you at least hide the AA tag.

I like her edgier stuff. This collection is a bit too slouchy and unstructured for my taste. Her stuff used to be a perfect poet-warrior mix, now it's a bit more poet and much less warrior.

              my first ann piece!

              great temporary satisfaction!

Avanster, thank you - it's an amazing bag, I can't thank John enough.

At this price, if they're my size and you don't want them I'll buy them from you no problem!! I must say putting them on ebay would be a better idea though, you should be able to get a sizable amount of profit, providing AnnD sneakers are in relatively high demand.

/\ it's a small size, I doubt I'd make much on them. But who knows, there is always that one person... Stand by.

I like Ann for her silhouettes and her nonchalant fabrics, but the goth/rock element of her work really turns me off. Sometimes she seems to want to use signifiers of "deepness" as a shortcut to gravity. I find a lot of her accessories and t-shirts positively cringe-worthy in that respect (e.g. skulls, Julia Margaret Cameron). I like playful, creative clothes--you can see why this particular summer collection was a high point for me.
