I think they are Japanophile, much like Monocle, which is not a bad thing. They are taking bold risks with new Japanese labels, gotta hand it to them. PLUS they often have the best picks.

Surprisingly, my ridiculously lightweight and sheer ribbed cotton long sleeve from ss2009 with raw hems is still like new. not a single hole, and i've worn that thing a million times.

So I like when boutiques with full-on lines from designers leave photos/prices visible & accessible even when the item is sold out. Sometimes a boutique's buy is the best way to see details on a given line if you haven't had the opportunity to handle it in person.

However, I get so annoyed with all these wannabe used consignment stores that leave up all their sold out items. I'm not browsing your site to learn more about a current season line, and I don't particularly care that you had one item from MA+ and one from PH, however many months ago. If it ain't available, I'm probably not interested in seeing a low quality pic of it on your site. I understand the motivation ("look at all the dope stuff I sell regularly, so come back and maybe there will be more"), but it definitely lowers my willingness to browse through pages of items, half of which are sold.
