i thought the buckles were going to be black, like last spring's motorcycle boots, a bit disappointed i must say.

p.s. i don't own any open toe booties yet! now i might be considering the spring 09 ann booties though, hmmmmm....

im quite over the open boot with straps scenario as well, if you already have the laced version (which i prefer to these) than this is very repetitive... and i dont think they necessarily work with a wedge. i am curious to see the ones with the leather flaps over the front. kind of wish she did a cross between the triple laces and leather layers thrown in that fold around.

i blew a gasket when i saw the marni show, i adore the whole thing, it has ebb and flow that cc hasnt keyed into for a while and the sultry colors were the perfect presentation. even though i dont usually sway toward polka dots the way she did them was so nice. not so crazy about the middle of the show but the beginning and the end, well, it was just that for me. havent liked marni shoes or jewelry for a couple of season but those red ones, they're on the list.


genevieveryoko, not sure about the covered version but those are the ones im most interested in too. at least i hope the wedge is wide not like the spring 07 ones. maybe if the leather is an insert it can be wrapped different ways, that would be fun to play with.

yeah i have yet to get booties because most booties lack the subtlety i desire. the 09 booties look way more comfortable to me, and ultimately that is the dealbreaker. Rider, would you say they are comfy? i too would prefer the 09 heel. i have a pair of her wedges and while they are comfy enough for standing they're not as good for walking.

comfy yes, not slippers comfy but as comfortable as you can be in 4"'s of wood.

remember these from 05? how about if they had a heel shell around them?

I am going to Paris with my girlfriend and would like to buy her a nice pair of shoes. Besides labels such as Jimy Choo, Prada, and so on, she is more on Marsell, NDC, and any niche brand will be more than welcome. Some stores suggestions? I know L'Eclaireur and that's all...Thanks for your help.
