NYC is much better than Toronto in many ways. Tell your friends to move to NYC

It's the first day of real 'coldness' here in Hong Kong in about 10 months...for the past two days I've felt the Black Dog creeping up, and today it's starting to gnaw at me, fucking HARD. God bless...

so, does fin (french) only mean "end" ?

and is it pronounced faen or finn?

I would love to live in NYC.. Just to see.. and to be close to Atelier

                  but it's impossible unfortunately ):

as far as i'm aware fin is pronounced like the start of (Fin)land hehe

but that's probably the anglicised version.

so as it's spelled then, both me and the gf (who studied france for some years) thought it was faen or if you know how Ä is pronounced, fän.

but either way, it's just "end"? not some lingo for genitals, idiots or anything absurd?

the more places you go you find friends can be mediocre in all places, particularly characteristic of big urban centers. I try goddamn hard to be optimistic about things, but sometimes I can't help turning back to the fact that it is depressing as shit.

Fin is pronounced Fän I guess, the n isn't pronounced, it's just a sort of nasal sound. It means end, but can also mean goal in some contexts, like in the phrase "the ends justify the means"
As an adjective it means thin, in some contexts fine or refined

Faim is pronounced the same and means hunger

                            "Fin" means
                            1 - End
                            2 - End of life = death
3 - Aim, purpose (logical sense)

                            Pronounce it faen.
