not a problem! just saying, once on that thing, it is much much harder to get off than you can imagine. There are many ways to reconnect with people on a more personal level, despite having come to depend on the web as a timepassing crutch I really wish I was less plugged in. In many ways it's a real creativity killer. Always envy people who say to this day they don't know how to turn on a computer or own a cell phone. I imagine if Ray Charles was around for the Facebook he would have revised his "cigarettes were harder to quit than..." with Facebook.

my ideal job would be getting paid handsomely to sit around and churn sound-bites, quips and quotes all day...one-man quote factory, yeah that sounds like a sweet ass gig.

I am already doing my Ideal Job, designig and making beautiful things, I just wish I could get up everyday and design without having to worry about money.........one day, one day.

I dont hate technology, I just dont allow it to consume my life the way some do, which is why its hard for me to work in the fashion industry as a designer, as that means photoshop and illustrator all day............I dont want to do that, I want to build things!

Ive seen a LUC sweater similar to Bestial's thats gotten alot of wear.........trust me, there will be more holes

designers should test farics for perfomance before putting them into production

with regards to the former, you are in a blessed position and I hope you take it to unfathomable heights of your imagination. as for the latter (the m word), it's something i worry about with enough worry for what seems like a lifetime supply. guess i just haven't found the right puddle to step in yet.

well the one I saw, I liked, and I do love having a few pieces that are like that, but not sure everyone who pays these prices we pay for clothing wants it to disintegrate like that........

i'd hope for the patina to manifest over a longer period of time given those prices...i don't own any LUC, but it sounds like the line would be ideal if produced by whoever's behind 45 RPM, a brand that executes this concept with more reliability.

Designer knits can be a bitch, I guess "nicer" fabrics don't always hold up as well as some cheapo merino. I just had three expensive sweaters patched, I got them fixed while the holes where very small and the tailor did a good job stitching them shut cleanly. It doesn't bother me cause I've had these sweaters for a few years, but super cheap sweaters I've had for even longer have no holes whatsoever (stuff from H&M, uniqlo).

If you're really worried about the scar from stitching them shut, do a search and you can find specialists that will reweave the material for a seamless patch.

On the note of holes to be pissed about. I just discovered an unflattering hole in the back thigh of my pair of dior "used" demin. I've had them for about 3 years, but still, I thought a $600 pair jeans would last me to the grave. Has anyone ever tried denim therapy? I'm thinking of sending them there.

This is a very valid and often overlooked point. I've never been an advocate of buying a wardrobe per season, and am horrified at so many of these 3-wear-bust stories.

I've been the luckiest man in the world in that my Dior jeans dating back to 2004 with regular and abusive wear haven't displayed such unraveling, my VOTC overdyes are the thickest and sturdiest jeans I own. Probably shouldn't say that so loud in case I tempt Fate...

I wouldnt put the and 45rpm in the same category,

LUC is more serius, more severe (albeit relaxed) and far more artisanal than 45rpm

Casem, I just took a quick look. It seems legit. Can you go there physically or do you have to mail your jeans to them?
