I've never found good leather locally but I've actually found some nice hides on ebay, out of all places.

          Faust,

I don't know if you figured out your Ligne Roset piece but it is the Traversale by Peter Maly. Nice piece!

I really like the older pieces, had a Nomade 3 seater with a steel frame that thing weighed a ton.

Thanks for the info! I also like the older pieces by Ligne Roset.

Great job , this looks beautiful , Is the frame oxidized steel , Did you get it custom made at a metal shop? How do the shelves attach to the frame?

Rick's "coffee table" in that picture is a gym accessory, right? (plyometric jump box, I think)

looks like a plain ole wood box to me.

speaking of which, if someone wants the unnecessarily luxe version...

                  Le Corbusier LC14...about $1000 iirc.

i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans

I suppose just because I only see them at the gym doesn't mean that's their only use. Go pre-coffee thought.

It looks like a photography apple box. Super cheap.

From time to time I play the auction game and picked up a vintage Max Bill Ulmer Hocker for a fair price. It's shares the same knuckle jointed craftsmanship as the LC14 (great mention btw!!!) I know at one time Vitra was selling the stool, not sure if they still are.

                          zanotta now.

i've always wanted one, but it's almost too simple...when you see the price anyway.

Ahh. Yeah I totally agree with you. I love the story behind it:

The Ulmer Hocker was designed for the students of the Ulm College of Design to carry their books to class and then to use as a seat or for storage...

                            Brilliant!

To be fair I did sell off some early Eames LCW's in rosewood so I had some $$ to play with. I have my few designers that I go ga ga for (Max Bill, Herbert Bayer, Dieter Rams, Poul Kjearholm, Prouve, etc.)
