You could even go frameless, but then I’d reinforce it on the backside with L-shaped rails. Just glue them on with silicone (the one usually used for bathrooms et cetera)

Antother advantage of custom mirrors: you can choose the proportions yourself. I find most mirrors to have awful proportions. Either way too narrow or simply »off«.
Thanks, I think I'll do this. What's the average price for a custom cut mirror?

Typically about 40–50 Euro per square meter, but that depends on the glass thickness and the edge finishing (i.e. rough, polished [if you want to keep your fingers while mounting, choose this option] or beveled).

I Quite like this, might be an excellent place to keep some of my books. Can't wait til I get a more permanent residence so I have bigger pieces like this without having to constantly move them.

i would like some help finding a small sofa-bed where you don't have to remove any cushions to pull-out. i drove to philly (usona) to look at one, but it was way too expensive..

            any suggestions?

The inspiration is sometimes obvious, but the open-sourceness of the blueprints and the sustainable approach to the manufacturing process itself (for instance pre-cut pieces that one can carry through the subway; no car transport needed) make the project more interesting.

This design reminds me of my former bed:

^ Wow that looks great! Did you build it yourself?

Also, thanks for the article. Väldigt fint, opretentiöst.

I designed it and had some carpenter students build it for me. Loved it to death but had to let it go when I moved to my minimal Stockholm apartment.

Been obsessing over the large black lacquered steel Kubus bowl after seeing it a bit over a week ago at Artek in Helsinki. Perfect brutalist fruit bowl for my new kitchen table built by the same gents who did the Rick Owens store in New York.

I've been to Helsinki a few times but never bothered to walk in, thought it was only furniture.
