Has anyone seen the new Ron Fricke's film, Samsara?

A bit late, but I just watched Almodovar's The Skin I Live In and I really enjoyed it. Apart from the fact that it's beautifully shot, I was actually able to follow the story better than some of his other films. And as expected, there's the usual crazy shit like a guy dressed in a lion suit showing his bare ass. But there's always good humor to go with it, like when a father and son walk into Vicente's mother vintage clothing shop and try to sell off the clothes of the wife that left them. Then Vicente's mother replies something like "sure, we don't really have any fat sizes in stock right now". As an SZ bonus, the seamwork on Vera's "outfit" looked quite nice.

I am also curious if anyone has seen Samsara? It looks beautifully shot and that alone must be good. Sorta reminds me of a mainstream version of Gregory Colbert's video from Ashes and Snow. Curious on peoples' thoughts but might go see it soon anyway.

Also, how about Detropia? Looks soooooooooo good!!!

I've been trying to go see it for the past couple of weeks but something always comes up.

I wouldn't compare it with Ashes and Snow though, lol.

extremely entertaining, and not nearly as stupid as your average mindless action film

The martial art in the film, Gun Kata, is also what is used in Ultraviolet. Unfortunately Ultraviolet is the inferior film, but has the director's finalized and desired form of the art.

I shroomed out and watched Samsara last week, it blew my mind for the entire run time. I think it's worth seeing in the theatre just because it's so visually stunning, mind altered or not.

I watched The Bourne Legacy. I don't want to spoil, just want to say it is a pretty good movie, and if you like the other ones from the same series, you'll enjoy the it ! (except the shaky cam).
