    Re: Label Under Construction

Well, Lazzari has the same one and It's $676. (after custom/shipping, roughly 14%)
The one I'm looking at isn't the thick knit like the first picture on this page. I may wait and see if anyone orders that one and how much it's going to be, because I really like that one. I even like the color of it.

Wait, the cashmere one on A is that much on Lazzari?

I do like the thick one at the top of this page, the original one I was asking about ha.

Yea, the same grey cashmere sweater is on Lazzari. They just put up a whole bunch of new A/W items.

I think I like the white chunky knit more man. I gotta find it somewhere, thanks Cas.

I really love some of the luc pieces, seems like they are either hit or miss. His hits are fire though, I think ccp and luc are my two favorite labels in the now saturated goth ninja sea of designers. It's too bad the pricing of luc is extortionate though sadly enough.

Lucky for me I will be in NYC in a month when everyone is fully stocked haha.

Aside from the leather, I don't see anything goth ninja about either of the labels. Poell's strength for me lies in construction of his suits and pants. It's just we've been concentrating too much on the leather and the boots. And LUC is definitely far from it. [H]

                Thanks cas.

I know faust, just used that instead of arte povera (sp?) as it should be called. I like ccp because in my mind it stands out as being a more elegant and tailored collection of garments (as well as luc) without the all black leather vibe.

Yep. Like I've said before, CCP looks very different at The Library next to Gustavo Lins and such, then at Atelier next to Number (N)ine and Undercover.

                    Re: Label Under Construction

presentation, buys as well as store ambiance definitely have a way of shaping one's view of a label. i.e. atelier = dark, brooding, black, hooks, etc...; library (only seen in the men's style site) = lighter interior, whites, natural light, etc...

Precisely. It's all about the particular store's buy and overall look.

My impression of Yohji changed completely once I saw what A ordered and stocked.

the Library is definitely very much bright and light but with some gentlemanly sophistication (old books on shelves, good layout... although the womens dept downstairs is beyond horrific.). I do love and prefer that gothic ninja feel [74] of Rue Herold and Atelier. It's the best!

I was speaking more along the lines of the collective number of pieces I've seen on websites, sz, Atelier, ebay etc when I formed that mindset of what direction these labels project. I don't think because they are presented different ways(as I have never been to these stores anyways) it excludes them from the ninja category but brands like ccp and luc definitely stand out in my eyes. I've seen a lot of the yohji stuff too which is why I never lumped it into the same category.

^ Love the cardigan. That looks like a substantial knit. The charcoal pullover on the site is pretty sick too. Anyone have prices on these?

One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

I'm not sure if you're refering to the 5th picture Philip. If so, I do believe the 4th and 5th are the same sweater, the latter picture being the sweater reversed. LUC knits are reversible and I assume they are the same piece because of the button stance in the pictures. And yes, the inside out and the outside in both appear to have pockets. Beautiful piece.
