Yes, it was more of a joke, like in some advertisements.

Also, I am not sure if the tighter silhouette is an evolution. I think it's more of a return to pre S/S 06.
I agree, but an evolution can be, litteraly speaking, a revolution, means a return to an ancien state of development.

Faust, I hope you didn't miss the credits in the last line of the article.

Oh, that's sweet! Thanks. Yea, I suppose revolution could be evolution.

And I get the joke now.

          Congrats for the article, Chant!
I was at the show and the combination of clothes, location and especially music almost made me cry... I would like to see the video of the show. Anybody has got something?

Backstage from Hintmag.com. I love the first pic, Ann looking at that guy like "Who do you think you are trying to look so badass?"

That's Nick Caves son, Jethro right?
Hence a badass look, just cause of that!
He's been on quite many shows f/w 09.

                  Lovely pics however. Cheers, casem!

strangely, the models seem poorly matched with the clothes. more hollow than usual or something
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

those backstage shots make the outfits look very unmodern....overdecorative and costumey?

Taken apart you get a different feeling. I will tell you though, I was tempted by a coat with those spherical buttons, but I decided against it because it had a priestly air.

I think that must be right, and I suppose I can see that. Even I almost bought an Ann coat from Leclecoor early in the winter. I can't imagine you in one of these (complete) outfits Faust, but individual bits and bobs is different.
What about the mood though - it still seems a bit too much to me. She must be trying to convey something with it.

Yes, it's all in her note on the last page! :-)

I guess when Ann thinks of poets (and this collection is based on a story about poets), she inextricably links them with the romantics and with early modernists like Baudelaire and Rimbaud. It looks like her poetry dies there, and it makes sense, because today poetry is dead. That's why she keeps looking back and you get many Edwardian elements.
