Yea, I think much of this will work nicely taken apart.
This is invoking a similar era as Cloak F/W 04 except less edgy and more romantic. If you take a piece or two and wear them with something more "today" (jeans for example) I don't think one would look too costumey. Plus, it all comes with Ann's sinuous tailoring (though slightly more structured than usual) which updates it a bit. I find with my threader jacket, which can be worn like a standard tailcoat, the soft unstructured material and asymmetrical buttoning option keeps me from feeling like an 18th century Englishman when wearing it.
