forgot to mentionand i hope its not to late but greatpurchase chinorlz. i was thinking of getting the same one but i opted not to. im sure you will love it. its a greatcolor and im sure that the fit wont be as boxy as the winters. please post some pics when you get it.

i was thinking on bidding on the cdiem black 5 hole boots, but i think the guidi's look cooler and are also cheaper. anyone know if the construction (same leather, correct?) of guidi boots and cdiem boots are similar?

Guidi supplies CDiem with leather, so they should be on par. they look good.

Quality of the boots are good - I just find the cut of guidi's boots to be rather plain - but the leather is great no doubt. the laces are also leather - but not like cdiem's laces - they are lightweight and thin (which is unique in itself).

I honestly don't think the construction is in any way inferior (no gluing anywhere, excellent leather, etc.) but the designs are very different, the toe is usually very rounded in a way that is more reminiscent of AnnD than Carpe. I once tried on a gorgeous white pair, they were very comfortable to boot. Nice pickup.

i was thinking of bidding on these cdiem boots

but i'm glad i won the guidi ones instead since i think the design is more sleek (albeit more plain), and was significantly cheaper.

Personal aesthetic, I definitely think you made the right choice. But that always seems to be the case....

Just won this LUC linen blazer. Not exactly the same as the one I posted in wishlists, but I'm looking forward to it.

BTW, can anyone (lookin at you albert ;)) shed some insight into the material of that particular blazer:

Almost looks like a stiff velvet of some sort....

it's probably cotton or linen - luc has never made anything in velvet as far as i know..

Yeah, I wouldn't have chosen velvet as a material of choice for LUC either.

I can think of the fabric in my hands now, but the name eludes me......

Hmm. Yeah CR is right. For the most part, LUC works only with cotton, wooland linen with some treatments done to it. Kinda falls into the clean aesthetic that Luca's all about.

Beautiful beautiful pickup though! I've tried on the more constructed cotton version before (not wrinkle processed) and you've got a solid one right there! [:D]
