Seriously, sometimes you just have to screw wearability. I usually let my RO cardigan float in the wind and I really love the effect ... definitely has a batman taking off feeling to it :)

Besides, that's a subjective topic in itself. I'd rather see Baizilla wrapped in an SZ flag than 99% of people on the streets of New York. WTF are THEY wearing?!

Hey Albert, do you mind if I put Baizilla on the SZ cover? I think we should start rotating front page images - that would be fun.

              The cape/scarf is fantastic, baizilla.

And deuxmille, I really like the shirt and relaxed pants.

              merz also looks great.
while I certainly like looking at those pictures, I am rather concerned
about the wearability on the streets itself. So it was more a hidden
              question in a way.

I don't care if that flag doesn't actually serve a purpose; if you
skim through the last 10 pages of this thread you'll certainly find 10
details/items that are equallly "superfluous". However if
that flag is being trashed aruond by the wind, i am not sure if I'd
still like it. Of course, from a certain point of view this is also
quite interesting - just like a wind chime the flag would be
              interacting with its surroundings.

and maybe it's just annoying cuz it will never hold in place *shrug*

now i am only guessing, but since you can actually see through the
fabric, I just can't imagine it will stay put at all, and you'll be
              constantly fiddling about that flag
Actually, I'd argue the movement involved in adjusting your voluminous or 'draped' clothing can be a beautiful part of wearing the clothes.

Don't think there's anything wrong with the cape...would just hope you were wearing it with a smile on your face.

depends... depends... i know in fact a couple of guys who are constantly pulling around at the hems of their t-shirts/sweaters/whatever and it drives me insane. Dunno if it is insecurity or whatever drives them, but I seriously can't take it.

Nevertheless any kind of movment can be fun, and especially erratic movement - and flapping about in the wind is quite erratic-. I am a huge fan of Gerhard von Graevenitz work and likewise I think fashion can/should not only explore the dimension of our the body, but also movement, time, chance or progression. However such art/fashion takes time - time to let chance happen, time to let it play out, but naturally that'swhat makes itsofascinating/thrilling.

I am just not sure if that flag is up to that task, cuz nothing looks sillier than something pretty not made for the occasion. And you risk (yes risk) becoming a work of art, and not everyone is made for that.

On the other hand, if there's a huge "goth-ninja-?? pin on ur revers u should be just fine! :D

(and by no means do i want to drag this out, just thought it was an interestign topic! for me at least)

And through their parting lids there came and went
Keen glimpses of the inner firmament
