Re: why so serious?

am i the only one who didnt love this movie? i agree, Heath Ledger's Joker is a great character, and yeh, its still the best super hero-movie pr today, but didn't you feel that in some of the scenes, there's so much action and special effects going on, you loose track of the story? the fact that its rated as number one at imdb, before the godfather, shawshank redemption, and pulp fiction, is quite ridicilous imo.

i'm a little torn when it comes to Heath Ledger's potential Oscar. he deserves it, but to me, it feels a little weird to give the prize to a dead man. plus it will probably start several discussions about whether he actually deserves it vs getting it cause he died. discussions like that will probably upset his family more, than not getting an Oscar.
absolutely. not to mention all the junk dialogue. but, i went in with super hero movie expectations (read: LOW), and that was the key.
actually the rumor is through a credible source that heath was doing loads of coke that night and had been for awhile. obviously you dont od on downers but the combo. so it was some sort of coverup to keep his credibility.

right, but even in spelling out the mystery you've already solved the case. you don't OD on downers, so something else was involved (e.g., coke the night before). details withheld by studio or equivalent to keep Heath's star burning bright. there's more intrigue in the scooby-doo movie.

ok, the gun in mouth bullet back of the head emoticon needs to be on the main site .... how do you grab emoticons and use them?

              Re: why so serious?

not sure of a real way to use them qua emoticons, but I've been jerryrigging it by sourcing them through google, copying their image locations, and inserting them into the message body the same way as any other image.

highlight and copy the emoticon like you do something else and then paste it in. that is what i do and it works perfectly.

Surprised you didn't like Inland Empire. I think it's Lynch's best movie.

I love Lynch so I'll give it another try. Maybe I was not in the mood. btw I think it looks really good for a movie shot entirely on sony dvcam.
