    Re: Carol Christian Poell

pipcleo... with your dirtying issue of the leather jacket.. if you are really careful and does not want to send it to the washing machine.. you can actually send to a leather clearner.. specialist cleaning.. although can be really expensive.. I did it once in USA.. and everything turns out great.. but I know that you are down under.. so I have no good suggestion for you. Best of luck..

      Re: Carol Christian Poell

if you're a true 54, you'll need a 56 in the s/s version of the leather jacket (i don't know if he makes anything in that size unless he'll do that size custom) because it was cut smaller
Did you get and like the larger dick?

Acutally Joey.. only the stiff leather is cut smaller.. the black overlock is not stiff leather and it is 'standard' size... I got the green overlock in also 52(I believe that Albert also got one in 50 or 52).. and it fits me actually tight.... [86]

Dont let others put off the green if you like it. I have the ss/07 green overlock and the aw/07 black (very dark chocolate) overlock and I think that I actually prefer the green. It is a very unusual color that changes a in different light. The rain issue does not trouble me. Sometimes there are spots but not if it actually gets wet. It is leather after all. If you just put a wet cloth on the spots they disappear and the area is dry in a minute or two. That is not a problem for me. I have definately worn the green jacket more than the chocolate one.

..and they also did mention that the jacket does get re-set or re-size... when you heat it again.. so it can shrink.. so if it does stretch..after you bake it.. it shrinks back also.. crazy huh?

Yeah, most leathers can be 'reset'. Pipcleo, I have to agree with you as well. These are classic pieces. I am guilty of thinking about selling my 4-zip motorcycle jacket every now and then, but I do change my mind the moment I put it on again though. [73]

I don't think I've ever seen this piece that you guys are talking about... anyone got a photo?

Theetruscan, congrats on the special order!!!!!!!!

A beautiful piece for years and years to come!

you're probably right. i've only tried on the green one and the 50 was very form fitting on me. god, i wish i could just make up my fucking mind with this overlock jacket. it's either the green or black one from s/s or the black one from a/w.

                  Leave it to SZ to

a). Make me somewhat regret parting with my green leather overlock in the span of the past 45 minutes.

b). Make me have the urge to buy the black overlock, black fencing, and the green overlock again.

thank you SZ. Thank you! [86]

yeah . . . I should gain back some weight to save money!

Edit: And, I know I should start with black, but the black one, while awesome is a little too hardcore for me to pull it out daily. Also, I've 3 black leather jackets in my closet, I think perhaps it's time to branch out. A lot of black on someone my size (6'2", 19.5+" shoulders, dark hair, sharp features) can just look kind of looming/evil. Not exactly what I'm going for . . . though I guess I wear black coats or jackets 4-5 days a week already.

Congrats on the weight loss man! That's definitely a feeling money can't buy.

I too am one who is quite partial to the green overlock, it's just a color that is 'Carol'. That being said, I would always start with a black leather and work to other colors from there, black is just....BLACK.

(If no color is listed, chances are it's black) [75]
