[QUOTE=Christian;334571In addition, the reference to the ski boots would be consistent with CCP's constant effort to invent garments that hinders/restricts/impedes the movement.[/QUOTE]

    You say hinder/restrict/impede;

    I say enhance.

Not mutually exclusive, bit the motive is positive.

        hmm,from my opinion,
I've tried having the dipped sneakers, soleless version.
I think its really comfortable to walk on, (slipery on a wet asphalt)
and most notably is the laces and sneakers construction.
this is just me, but on other sneakers sometimes when I pull a laces, there won't be pulled perfectly to the top hole,
there will be some knot or left over laces on some of the hole. (not tightly laced)
but with this sneakers, due to the form, construction, and the waxed laces, its actually easy to pull the laces perfectly, thus making the sneakers easy to remove or put on.

sry for my bad english, hope its digestable.

I wasnt restricting my comments to footwear. I was thinking more about the tailoring.

If you're referring to his explicit intentions, unfortunately, it is.

In addition, even though I could agree with the idea of making you more cognizant of movement, I'd say that all the articulated features - no contradiction : I have always described his garments as, more or less, an articulated armour - are ironic, a decoy, or a trompe-l'oeil. The junction is actually always, or often, a dis-junction. Let me quote a very good specialist of his work : " [...] in Poell's garments, functional finality is not pertinent".
What his garments make you aware of, more than movement, is the way your body is articulated. And, in addition, that articulations are weak points - in the different meanings of the word.

One does not wear Poell. One simply surrenders to the shackles. The relationship is one of submission.

                            Fe-male Collection 2010 - Carol Christian Poell

Hi, these are just a few pics that I shot last week at CCP Womenswear presentation. Obviously I wasn't allowed to photograph Dead End or Self-Edge great pieces but these Xray Knits were astonishing.

If you want read the article in which I describe the collection here is the link

Unfortunately are just a few. I know that the garments are in yarns coated with particles of glass on an aluminium undercoat; but they are part of the "X-ray" pieces, as the men's x-ray jackets, the name is referred to their visual effect.
