Havnt felt neither, but the flax one is not as soft as the modal one (and metallic). Would take the modal one.

Just bought a red Sarti scarf for the fiancee coupled with a new Yohji dress for her, unbelievable - feel like keeping it for myself (the scarf, that is :) )

Youheshe.dk is also selling Faliero Sarti, think some of them are on sale now. Pretty cheap. No idea if the ship international, never used the store.

I've been wanting to buy one of the Faliero Sarti Valery scarves from Blackbird but I definitely didnt want to pay the $300. I want to be able to wear it while it's a bit warmer too.. so the valery one looked like a good choice. Can anyone find one cheaper? I guess the valery one is the same one Mike posted in his august issue.

I looked on here at the womens but its hard to tell from the pictures. Is a stole just the way its tied? Could I buy one of those and wear it as a normal scarf?

A stole is usually significantly wider than a scarf, and often is longer. With such a thin fabric you may get away with folding it though. Trying it out from Yoox seems to be worth it.
