Faliero Sarti - Scarves

Had an oppurnity to check them out by myself in a local shop lately and I absolutely fell in love. The texture and colours are just so gorgeous. I was very sceptical about the pricing at first but after that I must say they are worth the money. Especially if one manages to get them on sale or so.

The FW 2012 looks beautiful. That one on photo above is amazing.

I'm wanting one of the super-light model or silk numbers for spring...ended up with the double layer when I was looking last because it was freezing outside.

Does anyone know if Rick sources his scarf fabric from FS? I swear the scarf I just bought is a Sarti fabric...impossibly light and soft. Almost feels liquid...but in an RO colour scheme.

It's possible - Sarti makes fabrics for other houses.

they do make fabrics for other houses, and designers can actually buy fabric from them as they are also a fabric mill.

the textured wool scarves we have are made from Faliero Sarti fabrics

The fabric composition is the same as several FS scarves (70 cashmere, 30 silk...although I guess that's not uncommon).

Anyway, I got it on sale, so I paid FS prices rather than RO.

is destin also sourcing their fabrics from FS maybe? they had some very nice fabric compositions for AW11 that I couldn't imagine anyone else than FS coming up with.

Probably yes. I snapped a silk/cashmere blend one and they are extremely nice for the price point.

For those of you who have the 70% cashmere/30% silk scarves do you find that your facial hair pills the fabric?

Yes sadly its unavoidable
grow a full beard that seemed to work pour moi!

My beard is like velcro on my 70/30 scarf. It doesn't make it pill as much as it just sticks and is annoying.

Otherwise the pilling can just be picked off and isn't a big deal when it does happen.
