They are Blake-welted.
Only the limited edition derby (see post #70) has a Goodyear welt.

thats actually really fast. Did you purposely try to toe them down??

He probably didn't. They just respond quickly to your feet. Although I love the extreme toe-box curvature, wearing them when they're like that is very uncomfortable. Luckily they break in quickly.

I've been trying to find women's ankle boots everywhere, finally I got a reply from Alessio's official contact saying that they only make derbies and 6-hole boots for women, with 3.0 heel. Sighhhh want the 4-hole so much!

... which I think is disappointing considering the price. I understand MA+ being blake welted (more consistent with the shoe overall design) but re. Layer-0 design, I think goodyear would be nice (and longer lasting).

The pricetag on the special edition derbies is quite ridiculous imo. I understand the construction is better than usual, but please, almost 2000€ for a goodyear welted classic Layer-0 design...

Anybody who's on the fence about taking the plunge into Layer 0, don't hesitate. Get it now. The prices are going up, so get it before it hits Augusta levels.

Fantastic materials and quality construction. Just picked this up yesterday and imo, look and feel is better than Augusta's and Guidi's. Never handled CCP so can't comment.

Would be interesting to find out who actually makes the boots.

This is really beautiful.

My favourite are the highlander for Inaisce.

I'm with ya on the Layer-0. I feel lucky to have purchased a pair like yours in blood/black. They fit great and I love the overall look and upturned toes. I think some of my other boot purchases were leading up to this defining pair.
Posting the Highlanders makes me wish I'd pulled the trigger on those too. Sometimes behaving doesn't feel very good.

^Co-sign. I have the same ones as couturehomme.I love everything about the boots, and most of Alessio's work.To be honest I wasn't keen on him his first two seasons or so, but I think his work became pretty much perfect after the collaboration with Altieri.

I have no experience with Layer-0 but the past few pictures alone are enough to make me want a pair. I would love to see them in person, anyone know of any NYC accounts (if any at all)? I also didn't know that there was an InAisce collaboration, the highlanders are beautiful

Layer-0 is built solid, i've tried on several models, sadly i never purchased because the last isn't as sleek as i want it to be, i prefer something like a1923 back zips or ccp for the last, also sometimes the heel area is off-putting so watch out for that.
