Ha! I'm totally looking around for one right now! Not to stray too far from the thread... any recommendations for clothing steamers?

Also to add to the thread ...

Afternoon tea (yerba maté or earl grey)

      Salt

Going to a restaurant and having Kombucha on tap

      Handwritten letters or notes

Picking veggies /fruit from the tree / garden

^^I purchased a Jiffy Steamer J-2000 and really like it a lot. Very quick and easy! ;-)

Great idea on the handwritten letters or notes in the age of the social networking and online dating infestation.

"I couldn't live a week without a private library [and cigarettes... and puerh tea... and one pair of boots / leather jacket both to be replaced only when they fall apart] - indeed, I'd part with all my furniture and squat and sleep on the floor before I'd let go of the 1500 or so books I possess." - HP Lovecraft
"He described this initial impetus as like discovering that they both were looking at the same intriguing specific tropical fish, with attempts to understand it leading to a huge ferocious formalism he characterizes as a shark that leapt out of the tank."

Driving straight through 18 green traffic lights in the middle of SF with a random pack of tourist free cars that realize these lights are timed.

Love at first listen when I hear a new song.

Pulling a great shot out of my Rancilio.

Nothing has improved my quality of life as much as switching to telecommuting and refusing to give anyone work related my telephone number.

                    This year:

The ability to travel much much more (and sometimes get paid to do it!)

Living in the South Village. Much closer to work, and my passion.

Calming down on "kopping" has allowed me to enjoy what I already own.

                    Mineral-salt deoderant. Lifechanging.

                        Interesting thread.

-this summer has been my first foray into "gardening"...even if it is on a balcony
-bought a nice camera with nice lenses so I have something to do at parties and a reason to leave the house on Sunday afternoons
-finally booked a trip to visit my friends from high school who I've been neglecting for too long
-started riding my bicycle again, even if it terrifies me
i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans

don't let the other kids make fun of you, everyone rides with training wheels at first.

Toronto is riddled with streetcar tracks, shitty roads, and idiot drivers. I'd be fine on the bike anywhere else in the world...

                              To add, and concur/disagree:

iPhone. It has absolutely streamlined my life, and increased my "QoL" but it also can be a detractor of enjoying "real" moments, where my anti-social personality draws me out of reality and into virtual reality. I think there are more pros than cons. Being connected to people is nice.

NYC. It is one of the most exciting places on earth, however, numerous arguments can be made about the actual QoL here. I wouldn't live anywhere else at the moment, and it has opened up so many doors, but not sure if my actual QoL has actually increased. Either way, I do love it. Excited to be going to Paris tonight though... I did love my life when I lived there. Except for pneumonia.
