I suppose the most apparent problem with designer basics is the economic one, namely the problem of scarcity. Personally, I have too little money chasing too many goods to shell out a hundred bucks for a tshirt for which I can get a pretty damn good substitute at Uniqlo at tenth of a price. But if you don't have that problem, then you don't have that problem :-)

The trousers are very much like a cotton jersey sweatpant weight. It's organic cotton so it's a bit smoother than your average jersey material.
The best way to describe the weight is 'mid.' It's not heavy and it's not thin like a t-shirt material.
They're baggy with a drop crotch so if you're in the middle in terms of size, I'd size down unless you want a super slouched look.
