Such a steal, you get so many colors for just EU350,-.
One would think they forgot the comma after the 3.

What I don't understand is why shops order these.

I bet that's some top of the line rubber, with the thongs being made of 100% hemp. That's definitely $500, easily.

unless cost for boutiques is insanely lower than retail, it's a mystery. ssense has pretty good buyers, i find (with some exceptions), though, however, and i'm willing to bet they'll somehow find a way to sell out.

One of those instances of something being so atrocious that it'll sell out, but the aforementioned margins sound about right to me as well.

Don't forget the "tonal stitching". It must have taken them many man-hours to make sure the black thread matched the black strap

well there was also this charming little read one encounters upon entering the webstore to purchase those precious sandals

ssense interview a conversation with ian connor

absolute horseshit. i was embarrassed just saying the words in my mind as i read it. how is this a thing? why is this person on my screen? i think i need to change my life if my interests are leading me to places where this is a person to be acknowledged and celebrated

                      That was a painful read

a perfect pairing of the eloquence of wilde, and the rational stoic thought of zeno of citium.

Few different people on my Facebook shared the link to those SL Rainbow abominations, captioning "WTF?". Makes you wonder when brands release shit like that whether it's simply a frivolous abject lesson in in mega mark up capitalism, an inside joke or a deliberate (albeit negative) marketing ploy?

I'm not really sure if this is the case here, but I heard a few times that certain brands (i.e. Nike) sometimes require stores to buy a package of items. So if you would be interested in a certain pair of shoes, you can only buy them in a pack with (most of the time less good looking/commercial) others.

This would explain a lot... parallels what some importers and distributors do with highly allocated wines... to get access to buy X number of bottles of the high demand stuff, you have to buy cases/pallets of the junk!

ahhhh that would make sense, yes. i can imagine that's the only reason that stuff like this gets slotted to major boutiques like ssense considering they probably make a killing off of jeans and boots and all.
