        Re: Men's Footwear

I have a pair of unworn laceless Oxfords (exactly like the ones in the upper left here) in size 40 for sale on ebay. If anyone is interested, I can end the auction early. I bought them in at Margiela in London and they're sold out everywhere. I got two pair, the other in brown, which I decided to keep. They are very cool shoes.

I really like those last chelsea boots you posted faust. I think I'll have to source them if I can't find overly round toed ankled boots.

you should be able to find them in japan - the markup on premiata isn't high there as far as i can remember

Guidi. Just perfect, if you ask me.

I see the shoes all the time, the prices aren't that bad. I haven't seen those boots yet though.

faust-those Gudi's look real fine. How is the toe box finished from a bird's eye view?

Is it a wide round toe, or narrowed?

I am not sure, but in my experience Guidi toes are usually pretty round. I have one pair, similar to these, but in a different color.

Looks like AlohaRag picked up N.D.C. Good move. They got rather classic styles.

Wow, these are even rounder in the toes. I may have to get some when they get to Barneys.

Those are called Jules. I have two pairs - one in a washed black that actually looks olive, and another in a washed reddish brown - my first ever NDCs from 2004. Rafe used to sell those three years ago at his store in Noho - they sold so badly because no one knew who NDC were at the time, and neither was Rafe known for men's shoes. He might even still have them in stock in the aforementioned colors...!

Here's an old pic of them in the washed black (you can tell it was 2004 ago by the wide leg pants and the Cloak sweater[;)]!)

since I promised a response a few weeks back:

I've since received and worn the Buttero laceupsthat look a hell of a
lot like Carpe Diem's laceups. At first, I didn't really like them. Not
sure why. Probably had something to do with the fact that out of the
box, they're stiff as FUCK... not soft, supple leather atall. I wore
them anyway, and a few more wears have softened them up considerably.
I'm hoping that as theybreak in, they'll get even softer (and look less
"slick"). Overall, I'm pleased... you get about 90% of the shape of
Cdiem at about 1/3 the price.
