over consumerists in general. everyone from the low to the high class can intensely consume, how democratic. and of course not, it's the hyperreal image constantly projected that allows for connection, the 'my god, how could someone so famous say something like that' reaction. not with any condemnation, but fascination. it's a magnified, idealized image.

“Everyone here is such a fashion zombie!” - just found this gem from the lady herself. it almost sounds self aware.

I become a fashion zombie whenever I'm in L'Éclaireur. Hell, sometimes even at a good sock shop.

tried on some rick jackets from the current season and they're actually comfy and soft, ones from the previous f/w are like jackets made of stone in comparison. also, the sizing is pretty normal, still slim but there's no feeling that the jacket is about to tear in the arms even if you go size up.

i do not even remotely try to match my blacks. i completely gave up on that. i do however try to match the qualities of the black fabrics. rough vs. precious vs humble and so on. anyone else like that?
