Not a ManU(re) fan but easily one of the worst performances I've seen from them. Giggs, Scholes and Neville looked absolutely decrepit next to their opposite numbers - the old men brigade of Chelsea who have been so heavily criticized after the Inter loss.

Strangely Lampard didn't really get to do anything after all that post-Villa game hype, and a shame that Anelka still hasn't scored.

All in all, easily the worst week of officiating in football this year, fuckups in the Champions League, Europa League and the English Premier League. I expect that sort of crap from the FA but couldn't UEFA do better?

Scholes and Neville in particular were probably exhausted from playing a difficult game midweek and having to paly another difficult one four days later. But I agree, their performances were bad. Sometimes I just don't understand Ferguson. After all the talk he gave last Saturday about using his squad, he could easily have spread the men out over these two matches, but chose pretty much the same personnel as he did for Bayern.

I've seen much worse from Man U though. Round about December they looked like a mid-table team. They've improved significantly since then, but it appears it won't be enough to win the league. Looking at the big picture though, they've had an excellent run the past three years. One can't expect to win every year.

And don't get me started on UEFA. Michel Platini needs a good kick.

Welp, that's all the english clubs out of the Champions League and after tonight pretty sure Barcelona are going to accomplish history by defending it.
