Defensive tactics are ok as long as it is not about trying to get 0-0 result. I don't enjoy watching games if team is just trying to defend and pass the time. I'm not saying every team should play attacking football like Barcelona or 0-0 game can't be a good game though.

yes ,but Greece is another story imo .If you can't beat a team that's trying to keep the 0-0 ,then you have serious offensive issues . The funny thing is that even Argentina and several others played the out of fashion 5-3-2...Every gameplay has it's weakness , i'm not an expert but i can't blame small teams if they can't find a decent striker among million Brazilians.
Anyway ,until now i like Holland ,USA ,Croatia and hope to see better matches from Italy and Argentina.

There`s deffensive tactics and there`s putting all 11 players in the goal line and just wait no balls get through. I understand Iran can`t do much more and that if they had played less deffensively we would have won by a bigger margin. But that was their tactic and they did it pretty well, counter attacking when they could and having at least 3 solid opportunities to score. But we played bad, the players weren`t moving to get the ball and even if a team puts all 11 in their half of the pitch, we have more than enough talent, game, players, etc to break through that and get the goal. But we didn`t, until Lio came in with his touch of magic to save the day.
