I tried a pair of these at L'eclaireur earlier this year just because they are so different. They were too big for me but you basically put your feet into them and then scrunch the leather around your leg to close up the gap. The leather and the metal backing (aluminum?) is rather stiff and will hold any shape that you want to create.

Your foot ends up in a foot bed similar to an CCP existing boot - someone else tried these on the 2nd time I stopped in and they looked pretty good in that big chunky boot kind of way. Not for everyone for sure.

As neat as the airmax soles on the sneakers are, I doubt that leather would hold up the same way a typical synthetic sole does on a regular sneaker, which is a shame, since reinforcing it would ruin the effect as well as the comfort aspect. Ah well.

I just finally got a chance to see that Brad auction video. That is probably the most epic leather jacket I've ever seen. Even better in motion than in photos. The pure bad-assery of it destroys all in its path.

The way L rocks it on the Atelier blog is how it should be done. Worn while riding either some blacked out crotch rocket (Magpul x Buell) or a Vincent at high speeds. I could never pull this jacket off as much as I wish I could.
