    1) The cropped ones are a new version of the usual RO drop crotch shorts. I think they are the ones you're after. They are composed of two parts, the top part, which looks like a short, always cotton made, falling nicely on the bottom part, i.e. the legs, which can be either wool-mohair, or silk, or leather. The leather version is the best imo (washed lamb on front part, blistered lamb on the rear part!), but the others are nice too.
    2) the long ones are mostly pictured on RO NYC pics, a long black pair of pants, with a skirt attached on top of them. They are also on oki-ni. I have not seen them IRL yet, so I can't say much about them.
Can the 'skirt' be removed from any version of the swing pants?

I really like the heavy cotton swing pants here:
            http://gallery.me.com/rickowens#1001...&bgcolor=black

And i think if the skirt were removeable the versatility would surely increase (see discussion above!).

In my opinion, the blistered lamb is awesome. I don't really like the scuba cut though, but that's just me. The leather is not flimsy. If I were to buy one RO leather this season, it would be blistered lamb jacket with the same zipper, but no hood. (as seen in NYC RO store pix)

I got the new high collar in oiled calf and i am very very very happy with it.
I am aware of the fact that most people here will prefer the AW08 lamb version, but there are 3 points why i prefer mine:
                1. The collar seems much higher than in the AW08 version. And it seems to hold its shape better due to the "higher" construction.
                2. Its not lined with the wool thingy, i didnt like it back then.
                3. It doesnt have the zippers in the front which i also didnt like back then.

The leather is superthick, thus the problems which the old AW08 high collar in calf had with the collar being quite slouchy (at least in the pics i have seen so far), will not occur...at least it didnt yet.
Of course i cannot deny that the look of the AW08 lamb version is quite unique due to the shiny plasticy surface, i love that look on my BBS leather too.

I hope i wont get in a gang fight with the (AW08) high collar gang...
Enviormental freaks, move away! My scarf will travel around the world and back!

I think the combo jacket is a good comprimise between the scuba and mollino (in terms of cut). Too bad they don't make it in full leather.

I hadn't appreciated there was a zip. Good news.

I tried on the Blistered Mollino at the RO store in NYC. I highly recommend it, it's my favorite men's RO leather that I've encountered in person.

                              Mollino was a genius.

Also happens to be my favorite jacket of the current RO range, and I like the sleeve flare unzipped. No knit cuffs is a huge plus.

One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
