Anyone have suggestions on how to keep Paul Hardnen pants rolled?

Mine will not stay rolled?

I have some rubber coated DRKSHDW jeans. Since this summer the heat or something has caused the rubber to come off very easily. So much so that just picking them up and putting them on leaves you with black stains all over your hands. What should I do about this? I don't care too much about the coating, just wanna wear them again.

sounds less like a rubber coat and more just like dye transfer. Are these the "triple black" dyed ones?

For garments that have been vat dyed and are transferring dye all over the place (this is quite common with the brands we talk about on here), you may have to do your own multiple rinses to get out that extra dye. I've handwashed so many pants that after the first rinse, turned the entire tub of water pitch black and it took half a dozen runs before the water could be even seen through some.

Does anybody here have experience with "washi" paper clothing? I was interested in a devoa jacket but I'm afraid that it won't hold together in the rain.

Which one? I've got a few Devoa washi pieces. Wore the two button washi coat from A/W 12 almost everyday through last winter. Snow, rain, and all that. It softens up (hell rigid to start though), develops creases and fades like denim after heavy wear.
