Yeah, New Zealand's purported first world status belies the fact it's decidedly second rate in far too many aspects.

Haven't been over to Fabric yet, but looking at their brand list I can't say I'm too excited. I only know of two stores in Auckland that are somewhat interesting, Zambesi (which has the occasional sloppy Rick buy, MMM, Raf and their house brand), and Wunderkammer (which is filled to the brim with Comme and Ann).

very happy to find this place. i really enjoy the SZ fashion sense and its good to find other like minds to discuss with and also get more info. my fashion sense is a bit erratic. i love Ann D, Undercover, M.A.+, and Rick but also like RPM45, RRL, and a bit more of a western style sometimes. Number (N)ine is perhaps one of my favorites. i think the balance between high/lux + low/western they achieve sometimes is perfect. high + low is what i try to work with mainly i suppose.

i am currently living between New York and Reykjavik. my favorite shops are atelier and the now sadly closed Liborius in RVK. did anyone here ever get a chance to visit it?

yes, liborius had to close due to the financial crash in iceland.

sruli has updated his site and has gotten the store section in nice order. http://www.srulirecht.com

he has many exciting things in the works. he has a few stockists around the world. in new york i believe it is Bblessing.

Hi, my name is Mark. I have been reading this forum for a while but do not really post. I am 22 and currently live in Cleveland, OH. I am working with a clothing line a friend of mine runs. I will be moving to LA in a few months to finish school eventually. I plan to get a business degree so I can work on that side of things in the fashion industry.

I might aswell introduce myself here as I'm thinking I might start to write more on this forum in the near future..

My name is John and i'm a simple amateur when it comes to fashion. I enjoy looking at fine clothing but at the moment I stop at looking, mostly due to economic factors i guess.. Perhaps more so than fashion, the cultural discussions here are interesting to me. I'm studying english at the moment so hopefully i will find some tips for literature etc here, and maybe I can offer some in return.
