went to a hardcore show last night, wasn't sure what to expect and got jump kicked by the one of the guitarists within the first 5 seconds. my friend got shoved and took out some girl's knee. unfortunately we were late and missed it when some dude fell through the panel ceiling while the band before was playing... when it was all done the kids all loaded up into their minivans and drove back out to the suburbs. (really good band though - like a hybrid that reminded a bit of Converge + Harvey Milk + EHG)

my (asian) friend and I spent an hour or so perusing the white supremacist website StormFront or whatever it's called last week. It's absolutely great for laughs. Threads where they talk about what is the best form of hand-to-hand combat and then some say how they love Krav Maga but hate where it comes from etc. etc. The contradictions, ignorance, hate and everything make it a hilarious read.
