watched Duck, You Sucker on saturday and i enjoyed it so much that i watched Once Upon A Time in America yesterday. i think they're both very solid movies with great storylines and i appluad sergio leone's ability to make a 3 1/2 hour long movie so enjoyable that the running time is an afterthought.

        Akira Kurosawa - Ran

'Throne of Blood,' was a brilliant adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth.' But, reflecting maturity; Kurosawa's critically acclaimed filmography acted as catalyst for for 'Ran.' An, end all, 'King Lear.'

Kurosawa's knowledge of the Buddhist Biblical Canon and Asian literature, thread philosophy so properly; Even, 'The Fools,' comedy is finally intellectually, realized.

Samurai 'Hell,' is uncompromising in Color; 'Oceans of blood,' from war, suicides and personal murders. The soundtrack, is relentless.

For the fashion fanatic: Academy Award Winner, Best Costume Design. The red armored army in particular, just beautiful.

The essence of life, the end scene.

I watched Space Buddies. Disney is great at perpetuating stereotypes, no wonder kiddes grow up fucked up ignoramuses.

Without a doubt the tv (5 hour) version. The shorter one is missing at least 2-3 excellent scenes.

Very simple, a bit slow for me. But overall enjoyed it.

oh man i'm only like 7 minutes into Inferno and I don't think I have time to finish it right now but the dialogue is fantastic. more films today need to make use of the great "frightening man saying arcane things" overdub effect.
