A friend of mine is working the sale (in exchange for $3,000 credit per day!). He's going to let me know exactly what they put out. And he also confirmed the drop in price on the final day of the sale.

so it's only a two day sale? what time would be considered "end of day" where they drop prices to 70% off?

i ask this because i'm not free all day on friday, and i'd like to know what time i need to head over in advance.

So friends and family is Wednesday. I haven't been able to find out the exact time, since my friend isn't working that day. If I can find out the exact time it starts, then i'll just go to the F&F. Thursday and Friday is the actual sale, and apparantly the prices will be lowered all day on Friday. I'll confirm everything tonight.

Someone knows when A. starts sales? Do they do presales as well for customers&friends? Seems shops in EU start later...

I went to Barneys yesterday. Their presale is going on now - most clothes are 40% off, shoes 30% off. Ann rack is thoroughly picked over - there was virtually nothing left in sizes other than XL. It is amazing how well she has been doing as of late. Otherwise, Barneys is stacked pretty well - tons of Margiela, Dries, Lanvin, Jil Sander, Balenciaga, Raf (not knits) left, as well as a good selection of CDG and Yohji. Rick Owens was pretty picked over though (they had a tiny buy to begin with). Dior Homme is virtually untouched as well. Tons of Lanvin sneakers left for those of you who are interested.

I'm surprised there are a bunch of the Lanvin sneakers left, I know the BH Barneys pretty much sold out of 12-8 or so. I gotta find the time to make it up there during this week...

I cannot believe how early the US sales are! Sales in the UK will not starttill mid-Dec at the earliest, with most department stores not starting till 26 Dec. Is this always the case in the US, or is it a recent thing? I'd love a trip to Barney's just now......and Margiela. Need a pair of nice black trousers.
