Small questions thread

I've moved to the south recently and it's incredibly hot here. Looks like my usual footwear won't do, so though I never was a sandal person, I have to buy a pair.
Any suggestions? I know AnnD'10 and Sruli sandals are incredible, but first are hard to find nowadays and second are a bit out of my price league. What do you usually wear when it's really hot?

Well, most sneakers are leather and 30 celsius is too much for leather.

I also wear sneakers when it's getting hot. Random sandals if too hot.

30 celsius is not too hot for leather. it has to get up to 38 before i even consider anything other than a boot. and i'm talking about a 6 hour day walking around nyc in the midday heat.

What you can bear of course varies by person, I can easily wear leather shoes/sneakers/boots in the summer as I (nor my feet) don't sweat too easily, but I know some people couldn't/shouldn't.

If you are really struggling, I don't think there is any miracle option. sandals or canvas sneakers.

Forget about sandals man

if you were a solder, you would have to wear boots regardless of the temperature

so just but yourself in that mindset and wear boots all year round.

leather sandals can look good, and a bunch of designers put out some great ones. I´ve had a prorsum pair (from the coolest collection in recent years, SS 2011) for about a couple of years and they´re one of my go to footwear in summer.

Melbourne gets to 42-45'c sometimes. and I still prefer wearing sneakers rather than sandals. sandals expose feet to the sun.
I only wear sandals to the beach.

It reminds me of my training i had before in thailand for 30days with boots on for more than 18hrs a day..and thats almost 40 degrees everyday.

I think if you feels too warm for sneakers and like others mentioned go with canvas, i would suggest find those lightweight socks and it will feels much comfortable.

is ricks "hammered lamb" leather boiled? it kinda looks that way from the pictures or is it just the "hammer-treatment" that gives it the worn out, glossy look?
